REATORG - PARTNER OF THE BUSINESS DISCUSSION CLUB "KOSTANDOV"!
In December 2020, the first meeting of the KOSTANDOV business discussion club was held.
The club is named in honor of the outstanding Soviet political and statesman Leonid Arkadyevich Kostandov, the Minister of the Chemical Industry of the USSR, the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR - the person with whom the creation of the chemical industry in the country and the making of the USSR a world leader in this field is associated. The Club's mission is to revive traditions and promote the development of the chemical industry for the benefit of the prosperity of Russia and our people!
The first meeting of the Club was dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the birth of Leonid Kostandov (November 27, 1915)
The event was organized by the information and analytical magazine "Chemical Expert", which is part of the new project of the Company.
Business Discussion Club "KOSTANDOV" is a new format of business events in the chemical and related industries, designed to provide the most comfortable and relaxed environment for effective and unbiased discussion of the most pressing and important issues of the industry.
The main topic of the discussion part of the first session was “INTERACTION OF THE CHEMICAL AND PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRIES. WHERE TO TAKE RAW MATERIALS FOR SUBSTANCES? ".
The meeting of the Club, its format and the list of issues discussed received a positive response from representatives of government authorities, heads of major Russian profile companies, scientists and other authoritative representatives of the expert community.
The event was attended by Alexander Orlov (Director of the Department of the Chemical-Technological Complex and Bioengineering Technologies of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia), Vladislav Shestakov (Director of FBU “SID&GP”), Zakhar Golant (Head of the Department of Regulatory Relations and Good Practices of the St. Petersburg Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy), Mikhail Nekrasov (General Director , Chairman of the Management Board of Nanolek LLC), Alexey Nesterov (CEO of Perm Chemical Company LLC), Alexander Malin (CEO of Nativa LLC), Irina Vendilo (CEO of the ROSKHIMREAKTIV Association), Evgeny Goncharenko (CEO of JSC "Vyazemsky plant of synthetic products"), Valery Samsonovich Petrosyan (academician, Honored Professor of Moscow State University), Sergei Nikolaevich Enikolopov, Artem Oganov (professor of RAS).
Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yuri Oganesyan, whose name is given to the 118th element of the periodic table - "Oganesson", addressed the participants of the first meeting of the “KOSTANDOV” Club in the videoconference mode.
In the first part of the event program, the CEO of the REATORG Company Georgy Khachiyan made a presentation of the “REATORG-Media” project, which, in addition to publishing the new information and analytical magazine "Chemical Expert", includes regular meetings of the “KOSTANDOV” Business Discussion Club, the “KOSTANDOV Readings” conference, organization of an expert assessment of the contribution of the main participants of the industry to its development and the presentation of the “KOSTANDOV Prize”.
In the part of the event dedicated to the memory of Leonid Arkadyevich Kostandov, his daughter Natella Leonidovna, and friends of the Kostandov family, well - known psychologist Sergey Nikolaevich Enikolopov and academician, honored Professor of Moscow state University Valery Samsonovich Petrosyan spoke. In their memoirs, they noted not only the outstanding role of Leonid Arkadyevich as a state official - the "Titan of the Soviet chemical industry" - in the formation and development of the domestic chemical industry, but also his personal qualities that combine professionalism and competence, enthusiasm, remarkable erudition, the ability to attract, dedication, authority and perseverance in striving to go to the end, to the desired result. In conclusion, Natella Leonidovna expressed hope that such events as the business discussion Club "KOSTANDOV" will help restore the former greatness of the domestic chemical industry.
Within the framework of the discussion part of the Club meeting, dedicated to the topic of interaction between the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, issues were raised about the relationship between pharmaceutical companies - manufacturers of pharmaceutical substances as customers of raw materials for their production and domestic chemical companies as direct manufacturers of reagents and intermediates, namely the readiness of the first to order products and the ability to produce them from second.
Representatives of chemical companies (Irina vendilo, Evgeny Goncharenko, Alexey Nesterov) noted the loss of Soviet-era connections in the production chain of the industry, the need for significant investments in the development of new technologies, their scaling, new equipment and personnel. This is not profitable at the moment, given the low demand from the domestic pharmaceutical industry and insufficient state support measures.
Representatives of Pharma (Zakhar Golant, Alexander Malin, Mikhail Nekrasov) as one of the main reasons for the lack of such mutual cooperation with chemical manufacturers pointed out the lack of long-term planning of production and marketing of their products, which in turn is caused by the unstable and changeable regulatory policy of the state represented by relevant departments.
Alexander Orlov noted that the government is open to dialogue in terms of improving the mechanisms of state regulation and support for the production of low-tonnage chemicals, priority product segments have been identified, which are characterized by a high potential for import substitution, a significant volume of the domestic market and the possibility of achieving the necessary scaling effect to ensure competitiveness.
At the end of the discussion, the participants supported an open format for discussing problems and possible ways of solving them and expressed interest in participating in subsequent meetings of the Club.
Further, the Club's program was continued by a meeting with unique and outstanding personalities: Russian illegal intelligence officers - Elena Vavilova and Andrey Bezrukov. Elena Stanislavovna presented her books, written and largely based on real events, and together with Andrey Olegovich answered the questions of the Club guests. Currently, Andrey Olegovich Bezrukov is the President of the Security Export Association (he coordinates the work of domestic high-tech companies and the promotion of their interests in Russia and abroad), advisor to the President of Rosneft, a leading political scientist, an expert in the Valdai discussion club, a member of the Council on foreign and defense policy. During the conversation and answering questions, Elena Vavilova and Andrey Bezrukov spoke about their experience of work and life as "illegal immigrants", the value system that helped them pass all the trials that fell to their lot (and this is the collapse of the USSR - the country to which they swore allegiance, and betrayal, and much more, about which they chose to remain silent). They also gave their assessment of the current crisis situation in the world and the directions of concentration of efforts for Russia to reach its rightful place in the new world order.
The event ended with a gala dinner and a concert of jazz music, at which the famous jazz musician and performer Sergei Manukyan performed for the guests.
The first meeting of the "KOSTANDOV" business discussion сlub showed the relevance of this format of business meetings. The club is scheduled for the spring of 2021 and will be dedicated to personnel training, the revival of production and the provision of high-quality domestic equipment for small and medium-sized chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
