PROMOMED LAUNCHED ONE OF THE LARGEST ACTIVE PHARMACEUTICAL SUBSTANCES PRODUCTION IN THE COUNTRY

On March 30, in Saransk, with the participation of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the grand opening of the API production workshop of JSC Biokhimik (part of the Promomed group of companies) took place.

The new workshop will produce 150 types of substances, its capacity is 340 tons per year. Construction lasted 2 years, and investments in the project amounted to more than 3.7 billion rubles. With the opening of the plant, more than 120 jobs will appear in the region.

The workshop has 7 production lines, two of which will synthesize molecules for the manufacture of anticancer drugs. Other sites will produce molecules for synthetic antibiotics (with the exception of beta-lactam antibiotics), antiviral and antiretroviral drugs, and muscle relaxants.

The opening of a new domestic production of active pharmaceutical ingredients will reduce the country's dependence on imports, and modern effective and safe drugs will become even more accessible to Russian citizens.

REATORG company acted in this project as an EPC contractor for the production technology: preparing project documentation (section "Technological solutions"), production, supply, installation and piping of process equipment, commissioning and qualification.
